In the Haustec region, from north to south the beach paradise of Veracruz begins with the “Tamiahua” lagoon of approximately 85 kilometers of length and a little depth.
Location:
It is found among the rivers Pánuco to the North and Tuxpan to the South.
Climate:
Humid with hardly rains in summer and dry in the winter, with exception of storms with northerly winds; in summer winds of the east prevail.
Activities:
From Tamiahua you can travel through the river and the branches of the lagoon, like the one in “Cazones”. Traveling south from Tamiahua you can find nice beaches like “Galindo”, “San José” and “Villamar”. Scuba diving, speed boat, windsurfing, fisihing are some of the activities that can be done. “Lobos” Island is one of the most beautiful places to do scuba diving and snorkeling, nice reefs are located by the island.
