Description:

It owes its name to the color of the water in this part of the coastal Gulf , it´s a stripe comprehended between Nautla and Tecolutla. This region is full of natural attractions: beaches, estuaries, forests and exuberant vegetation. In its beautiful beaches fishing and aquatic sports are practiced.

Coast Esmeralda initiates in the Km. 73,5 of the federal highway No.. 180 Poza Rica-Nautla.

Climate:

Its climate is tropical-hot, with an annual average temperature of 23 °C.

Activities:

All kinds of aquatic sports can be practiced like the sailing boat, water sky, diving and fishing. During May Shad International fishing tournament is carried out.
