VERACRUZ
Brief description of the City:
Veracruz city is well known for the warm of its people called “Jarochos”, the music, the “marimba” and the “danzon” are part of the environment you will live while you are here. Veracruz is the most important city of the state, even they share the same name, but is not the capital of the state, but Xalapa is
Location:
Its located on the middle part of the state and it’s the most industrial port in the Gulf of Mexico. Its around 450 km from Mexico City and around 90 km from Xalapa.

Origin of the name:
Because of the date when Cortez arrive to the seashore of Chalchihuecan was the day of the cross, Cortez, named the village of the Vera Cruz.

BOCA DEL RÍO
Brief description of the city:
Boca del Rio was a small village of fishermen, but now is a modern city, where the newest hotels and the malls are located, Boca del Rio is a twin city to Veracruz. In Boca del Rio, the night life offers to the visitors many options, since a restaurant to have a good talk, coffee shops, and many dance clubs where you can enjoy in a safe environment of a great time. The baseball and soccer stadium, offers to the lovers of the sports a chance for recreation. Aquatic sports, and other water activities can be enjoyed in their clean beaches. The WTC deserves a special mention, once this building is the most important one in the state when it comes to conventions and business meetings.
Location: It is located right beside Veracruz city on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. is around 95 km from Xalapa, Veracruz, capital of the state.

- The Agustin Lara museum. Agustin Lara was one of the most famous singers in Mexico around the 50´s. He was called “the Gold thin” In the museum you can find any kind of memories and some stuff that was used by this famous singer.

It is important to mention that in this municipality they have the record Guínnes for "Largest backfill fish fillet of the world”.
Festivals:
- From July 24th to July 31th the festivals in honor of Santa Ana the patroness of the town, have place.
