Is a town of magic, of popular culture. There one of the oldest traditions in the country is carried out: the stewardship and the feasts to the image of Holy María Magdalena, the Jewish woman that was near of Jesus at the time of his death.

Xico, is located to the south of Mexico, in the state of Veracruz, very near to Xalapa. It surrounded by plantations of coffee, falls of water and abundant vegetation is a delight of the nature. The climate during great part of the year oscillates between the 10 and 19 centigrade degrees.

The original name of Xico is Xicochimalco, whose etymology is Totonaca and means signifies Shield of Bee. It was built on the IX century before Christ.
