HISTORY OF THE CARNIVAL

The Carnival of Veracruz began to celebrate since the Colony era, although at that time the celebration was attached strictly to its religious character.

But the carnival of Veracruz, like we know it nowadays was conceived on 1925 and since those days it has evolved and transcended, acquiring new characteristics.

After the coronations, the "royalty" parades along the streets. The masks, food stands, band of music, and many other types of attractions are available to make of the carnival a unforgettable experience.

The first one great parade is carried out on saturday night and is approximately 6 hours long, during that time, streets are flooded with people from any economic or social condition; it is a festival created for everyone, without any distinction. This is a famous carnival on a worldwide basis, the most important in México, you cannot miss it.
